Roger Sloboda

Since coming to Dartmouth in 1977, Dr. Sloboda has taught Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Cell Motility at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has been the recipient of many research grants and fellowships to support his work on microtubule dependent intracellular particle motility and the mechanism of intraflagellar transport (IFT). Defects in IFT have recently been related to human health problems including kidney function and vision. He has been a summer investigator at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, MA since 1981. As a DEN fellow, Dr. Sloboda consults with scientists at Dartmouth to develop laboratory work to increase the value and marketability of Dartmouth's intellectual property.
