The Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network helps people in the Dartmouth community learn and implement entrepreneurship. Drawing on an extensive pool of expertise, the Network offers a wide range of services - from strategic advice, mentoring and networking opportunities to infrastructure and office space.
Since so much of the learning of entrepreneurship involves 'doing,' the Network provides faculty and students the fullest exposure possible to the practical elements of what is increasingly seen as a necessary life skill.
The Network is currently working with business teams involving Dartmouth students, faculty, staff, alumni and Upper Valley community members.
We provide a wide range of educational opportunities. We host an annual conference and regular workshops and mini-courses.
Periodically, there are internship opportunities both at the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network and with DEN teams. We can always use volunteers to help us with events and marketing programs. We work with the Club of Dartmouth Entrepreneurs (CODE) to help facilitate these opportunities for interested students. Please contact us or CODE (CODE on blitz or club_of_Dartmouth_entrepreneurs@dartmouth.edu) if you are interested in potential internships or volunteer opportunities in entrepreneurship. For example, we are in the process of arranging monthly "shadow days" at certain venture capital firms where students would have the opportunity to follow a venture capitalists for the day, sit in on partner meetings and get a feel for what that industry is like. In addition, we are actively looking to create internship opportunities at VC and entrepreneurial firms.
As our teams grow, there may be opportunities to get in at the ground floor of an exciting start-up. Work opportunities may be part-time, temporary or full-time, providing real-world experience and first-hand exposure to the full range of the startup experience. Please contact us if you want to be considered for positions as they arise.
In addition to education, the core objective of the Network is actively engaging to support the successful launch of new businesses. For teams in the process of conceptualizing business ideas and implementing business plans, the program provides individual learning resources, mentoring and accountability, and extensive networking to willing volunteers with specific experience and expertise in important technical, legal and financial areas. We will always schedule time to talk one-on-one about your business and early stage needs.
For any of your needs, we offer one-on-one meetings to discuss your interests, and we welcome you to submit your ideas and questions to us.
