Company Overview
Brenner and his laboratory are the inventors of novel means of assaying and utilizing nicotinamide riboside, a naturally occurring compound that appears to critically important in anti-aging (longevity) and protection against neurodegeneration. There is also reason to believe that the compound could be valuable in lipids management, as a substitute for niacin without the side effects, and in fighting candidal infections. Dartmouth’s intellectual property is foundational to this rapidly expanding area and the subject of interest from companies active in the field. Brenner is currently raising research support to synthesize the compound, and conduct animal and human trials.
